The Rooms of Triyah is located on the third floor in the former loggia
of a
historic palace. is in a descent leading into the heart of the
market
of the 'Vucciria' , one of the handicraft streets of yesteryear.
The street is called 'Discesa ai Maccherronai', the name by which
the artisans who made pasta by hand were called as early as 1100
, drying it in the sun by hanging it on reeds along
all along the street.
This paste was called 'Triyah', and it is precisely from
the latter
that our structure takes its name, paying
homage to the
history of the place and its ancient origins.
The rooms are immersed
in the colours, scents and sounds of one of the most traditional historical
markets of Palermo, but they will amaze you with their modern touch.
